Well...

We've survived so far ;) Sam has not slept much at night since we've been here. He slept really well last night so we'll see how the final night goes! We are all exhausted and are looking forward to being home. While we are happy to be going home, there is still a part of us that is sad to leave Chris. We know it may be awhile before we see him again. He of course will not be here alone as his mom is coming back down on Tuesday. The holidays just won't be the same without him or without Rita, but we know he'll be here working hard on his recovery.

I'll post a couple of pictures of Sam during the trip after we get home. We haven't really done anything to take pictures of other than the flight and going out to dinner once. Tim has been very busy visiting with Chris and helping him out. He's done a great job! Unfortunately Sam is not allowed to go into Chris' room and with his surgery this week he wasn't able to leave his room to visit with us. I did get to go in and see him last night while Tim stayed with Sam. It was great to see him doing so well after his surgery! Thanks for all of the prayers for Chris' recovery...keep them coming because they are working :)
